Powerbuilder Developer
Based out of our Wildcat Rd. location in Toronto, the Powerbuilder Developer will be responsible for developing applications, troubleshooting, and resolving customer problems.
The Powerbuilder Developer will also:
-Achieve personal and departmental service goals as the first point of contact for customers experiencing service issues
-Contribute and assist with all software development life cycle phases: translation of business requirements into design documents, development, unit and integration testing
-Provide technical recommendations and solutions aligned with business objectives
-Provide team with technical expertise and offer advice and solutions to technical queries
-Ensure quality of deliverables through compliance with specification definition, code standard reviews, and design walkthroughs
The Powerbuilder Developer must have:
-5+ years of experience in Object Oriented programing using Sybase PowerBuilder 10+, PowerBuilder 11 an asset
-Experience using OLE and XML in PowerBuilder
-Proven abilities in managing interaction between PowerBuilder and databases, including transaction management, invocation of stored procedures, using of dynamic SQL, etc.
-Strong database knowledge and profound MS SQL Server 2005 programming skill mandatory
-Ability to provide production support, building modules and tools to automate tasks
-Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently and effectively
-Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
Nice to have:
-Experience of Oracle Databases
-Experience of SOAP/Web Service
-Application development in Billing environment
