Toronto, Ontario, April 8, 2013 – Comwave has teamed up with Maple Leaf legend, Tie Domi to help consumers “Stand Up” to the Big Phone and Cable Companies. Mr. Domi will introduce Comwave’s latest home phone and internet bundle for $49.95. Rogers and Bell typically charge upwards of $90 per month for like services. Comwave’s internet service also includes unlimited internet usage which means unlike “The Big Guys” you won’t be charged for using too much internet on services like Netflix, YouTube or Apple TV. “We had lots of fun working with Tie on our new TV commercials. It was easy for him because he just gets it,” said Yuval Barzakay, CEO.

“I couldn’t believe the savings when they proved it to me. I can tell you, if you have internet and a home phone line, and you’re not with Comwave, you’re paying too much.” said Tie Domi.

Comwave’s new “Stand Up to the Big Guys” campaign will hit TV, newspapers, and the internet across Canada starting today. This campaign marks a clear indication of the brand’s direction, refusing to shy away from challenging Canada’s largest players who charge too much and control how much we use.

“Associating our brand with Tie Domi was a natural fit. His reputation for taking on competitors twice his size and winning, highlights our message of standing up to the Big Guys for our customers.” said Yuval Barzakay.

Toronto, Ontario, April 5th, 2013 – From unlimited long distance calling, to discounted home phone service, Comwave has always lead the way. Now Comwave is launching high speed internet services across Canada making Comwave the only national telecom and internet service provider. The high speed internet plans are simple and without any hidden fees. Comwave’s plans are all inclusive and include your modem, dry loop, and in-home installation. What many people are going to love is that that the service is unlimited, which customers do not have worry about how much they download, ever.

“More people than ever are using services like Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV and online gaming, which unfortunately has resulted in some folks getting sticker shock by the big phone and cable companies billing for using too much internet. The internet should not be capped,” said Yuval Barzakay, President and CEO. “As well, adding a cost effective internet solution to our great stable of VoIP and Long Distance products, allows us to create aggressively priced Bundled Solutions that no other telecommunications company can compete with.”

Comwave’s Home Phone with Internet bundles start at $49.95 and include 6 months free of Home Phone service. Comwave High Speed Internet is currently available in Ontario and Quebec with plans to roll out nationally later this summer.

Toronto, Ontario, April 4th, 2013 – Today Comwave launched a new version of ePhone for iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad) which is part of a string of Comwave Apps intended to take a bite of Skype’s market share. ePhone is different though, because the App includes a built-in telephone number that users can choose, allowing them to receive incoming calls from any telephone around the world. “Having a Toronto or New York phone number on your Smartphone is a powerful tool, especially when you travel and want to get around those costly roaming fees.” Said Yuval Barzakay, President. ePhone also comes with tremendous cost savings for users because the App is absolutely FREE!. ePhone uses your 3G, 4G or WIFI connection so there is no need to worry about expensive roaming fees while traveling. ePhone already includes free calling to the USA and Canada but you can add international minutes to your account in $5, $10 or $30 increments to call the world at the lowest rates, always guaranteed lower than Skype. You can use ePhone anywhere in the world, so even if you are in Europe, you can use ePhone to call landlines in North America absolutely free.

ePhone bridges the gap between Smartphone users, computers, and landline phone users by allowing all of them to communicate for free regardless of whether they have ePhone or not. “While other Apps seem to put up walled gardens confining you to the App, ePhone allows you to communicate for free to non-ePhone users as well. Now, someone can be on their land line in New York calling an ePhone user across the globe for free.” added Mr. Barzakay.

How does it work?

ePhone uses VoIP (Voice Over IP) which allows you to choose your own telephone number. So let’s say you choose a Toronto ePhone number and you happen to be travelling to Florida, first you would be able to call any phone number back home for free, and you would be able to receive calls from back home for free as well. That’s because your friends and colleagues back home could call Toronto ePhone number which is local to them. The idea is to choose an ePhone number that is local to your home or office, this way you can travel anywhere and receive free calls.

ePhone is available for iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad), Android, Mac, PC and Blackberry Playbook.

Toronto, Ontario, September 25, 2012 – Comwave today launched a new version of ePhone for Android which is part of a string of Comwave Apps intended to take a bite of Skype’s market share. ePhone is different though, because the App includes a free telephone number that users can choose allowing them to receive incoming calls from any telephone around the world. “Having a Toronto or New York phone number on your Smartphone is powerful especially when you travel and want to get around those costly roaming fees.” Said Yuval Barzakay, President. ePhone also comes with tremendous cost savings for users because it comes in two flavors, ePhone FREE and ePhone Global $30. With the FREE version, users get their own free phone number to make or receive calls anywhere in Canada and the USA at no cost. The $30 per year plan includes everything offered in the FREE version, plus it allows users to call over 60 countries free. Skype on the other hand charges for every call.

ePhone bridges the gap between Smartphone users, computers, and landline phone users by allowing all of them to communicate for free regardless of whether they have ePhone or not. “While other Apps seem to put up walled gardens confining you to the App, ePhone allows you to communicate for free to non ePhone users as well. Now, someone can be in New York with their traditional cell phone and call an Android ePhone user across the globe in India and allow another computer ePhone user to join in.” added Mr. Barzakay.

ePhone is available for Android, Mac, PC and Blackberry Playbook. The iPad and iPhone 5 release is expected very soon.

About Comwave

Comwave is Canada’s largest independent communications company and recipients of the 2012 Consumer’s Choice Award. Comwave leads the Canadian industry for VoIP Home Phone lines, Hosted PBX solutions for offices and long distance savings for landlines and mobile phones. Led by President and CEO, Yuval Barzakay, Comwave has become Canada’s leader in VoIP solutions. Comwave serves over 500 cities in Canada and over 1100 in the United States.

Toronto, Ontario, June 20, 2012– – Comwave today launched ePhone for Android smartphones and tablets which are part of a string of Comwave Apps intended to take a bite of Skype’s market share. ePhone is different though, in that the service includes a real telephone number that allows you to receive an incoming call from any telephone around the world. “Having a Toronto or New York phone number on your cell phone or laptop computer is powerful especially when you travel and want to get around those annoying roaming fees.” Said Yuval Barzakay, President. ePhone also comes with tremendous cost savings for users because it includes free calling to 57 countries for the entire year while others such as Skype charge for every minute. The App is free to try on Android Play (formally Android market) and costs only $30 per year after the trial.

ePhone bridges the gap between smartphones users, computers, and landline phone users by allowing all of them to communicate for free regardless if they have ePhone or not. “While other Apps seem to put walled gardens that confine you to the App, ePhone allows you to communicate for free to non ePhone users as well. Now, someone can be in New York with their traditional cell phone and call an Android ePhone user across the globe in India and allow another computer ePhone user to join in.” added Mr. Barzakay.

ePhone for the iPhone, iPod & iPad is slated for release in the coming weeks while Android, Blackberry Playbook, Mac & PC are available now.
