This is a business feature. It allows you to give out just one phone number and have all calls "hunt" to the next available line when a line is busy. So let's say, you have 4 lines, and you make a call on line 1. When someone tries to call you, the call will go to the next available line. In this case, it would go to line 2. If line 2 is occupied, the next call will go to line 3 and so on.
